I create musical performance pieces which feature instrumental and electronic sound, text, video and physical performance.
I often use as a starting point personal experiences, recordings or conversations, and set out to create unlikely relationships between elements both inside and outside the piece.
My interest in the inherent musicality contained in the nuances of conversational speech has lead to pieces dealing with political issues such as advertising and the value of work, and other themes such as the ego of the artist and the anxiety of the performer.
I am appreciative of the social and cultural value of live performance sharing.
