Return to the Cockpit theatre for “Rough for Opera” scratch night
We’re looking forward to featuring again in the fantastic scratch night Rough For Opera. Last time it was the eerily entrancing “Manspangled” by Edward Henderson which received great feedback and went on to feature in Tete a Tete Opera festival in 2014.
We’re delighted to make a return to the Cockpit Theatre, Marleybone, this time involving BA’s Timothy Cape and Percussionist Sam Wilson (pictured)
“Because that is perceived to be the hardest task” is a piece for Temple Blocks and voice, centred around recordings of a conversation between the two creators of the piece, Tim and Sam. Exploring memory and rhythmic nuances in casual speech, this piece is personal to the performer and therefore has no score, is part semi-improvised and part acutely structured. It was devised collaboratively.
Come on down to what looks like will be a fantastic mix of pieces, other works featured will be by Jenni Watson and Caroline Wilkins
The show takes place on 17th November at 7.30 at the Cockpit Theatre, Marleybone. NW8 8EH
