2017/18 season launch

And we’re off! We’re delighted to announce our most ambitious and exciting season yet. Four performance events in unconventional venues, each focused around a new collaboration between Bastard Assignments and another artist or ensemble. We’ll be making new work with artists we feel are making the most radical and exciting new work on the international scene.

We begin with…

Mocrep
November 28th: Mocrep
Chicago-based super group of radical composer-performers. Energy, noise, costumes, and more energy.

To be followed by…

March: Marcella Lucatelli
The visceral and intensely physical vocalist and composer will make a brand new piece with us. Be ready.

April: Neo Hülcker
Our third project with Hülcker, building on from the frenzied intricacy of Crackles which we performed last year.

June: Thick and Tight
Eleanor Perry and Daniel Hay-Gordon will stretch and twist us in new ways in new sound and movement work.

Plus there’ll be the usual eclectic array of guest artists you expect at a Bastard Assignments gig, and of course new work from our four resident composers, Tim Cape, Edward Henderson, Caitlin Rowley and Josh Spear.

Can’t wait? Well, we’re still finalising some of the details, so subscribe to our mailing list or follow us on Facebook or Twitter to hear more as we settle our plans.

Our new season is being supported by Arts Council England, and Bastard Assignments is also supported by PRS for Music Foundation and Snape Maltings Open Space.
